Rotterdam is an important port city from South Holland, with more than 600,000 inhabitants (the 2nd most populous city in Holland, after Amsterdam). It houses the largest port from Europe and the fourth largest one in the world. Rotterdam is a major commercial, financial and economic centre and hosts the regional headquarters of many well-known international companies, such as Maersk, Unilever, Procter and Gamble, Allianz, Pfizer and Petrobas.
