Creative Cross-Training

In this episode of The Creative Life TV Show, I talk about how we often get fixated with the labels we give ourselves as creatives. “I am a writer, musician, artist, entrepreneur, etc”. Srinavas Rao wrote an intriguing article about how creative cross-training can open up new possibilities. The idea is that you immerse yourself in another art form outside of your primary domain.

By experimenting with a different art form we get a different view of the world and engage mental muscles that may never have been engaged before. The result can often be a cross-fertilization of ideas and new creative inspiration.
